❤️ In Honor and Remembrance of Lieutenant Bradford Clark ❤️

Lieutenant Bradford “Brad” Clark was 43 years old when he was killed in the line of duty while protecting others.

On October 11, 2018, during Tropical Storm Michael, Lt. Clark and his crew were responding to an emergency on Interstate 295 in Virginia. A tractor-trailer, traveling too fast for the severe weather and failing to follow Move Over and Slow Down laws, lost control and struck the fire truck where Brad was working.

Driving always demands a driver’s full attention. Distraction is not rare or occasional, it happens every day. And when attention drifts, even briefly, the consequences can be permanent.

Brad was a devoted firefighter, mentor, and family man, known as a “fireman’s fireman.” He lived and breathed service, leadership, and responsibility. He spent his career training and mentoring others, believing that every firefighter deserved to go home safely at the end of their shift. Promoted to lieutenant in 2015, Brad led with humility, courage, and deep care for his crew.

In his final moments, Brad issued a warning to his fellow firefighters, saving their lives at the cost of his own.

🚨 Emergency scenes don’t become dangerous because they are chaotic. They are dangerous because drivers fail to slow down, move over, or give the road their full attention.

💙 Just drive. Stay focused. Move over. Slow down. The safety of first responders, and everyone on the road, depends on it.
