This event is so much more than a fundraiser. It’s an opportunity to honor Mitchel’s life, share his story, and continue working toward a future where no family has to experience the pain of losing a loved one to distracted driving.

In this video, Mitchel’s dad, Steve, shares a few special stories behind this year’s outing, including the meaning behind our Greyson shirts, which feature Mitchel’s own handwriting and his “10 Things That Take Zero Talent.” These small personal details help keep Mitchel’s spirit present in everything we do.

Steve also shares the story behind why we call it our “Ball Golf Outing.” Mitchel loved disc golf and always referred to traditional golf as “ball golf,” and that memory has stayed with the Kiefer family ever since. ⛳💙

Each year, Courageous Persuaders empowers students to create powerful messaging designed to influence their peers to make safer choices behind the wheel.
