Through our Technology pillar, The Kiefer Foundation works with innovators helping make that future possible. On March 27, we gathered at USA Hockey Arena to honor Mitchel on his birthday in a way that reflects his legacy… bringing awareness to the dangers of distracted driving and encouraging safer choices behind the wheel.

With support from the Detroit Police Explorers, fans had the opportunity to experience the Just Drive Simulator and see firsthand how distractions impact driving. It was incredible to see so many people engage, learn, and take that message with them.

A special moment of the night included Mitchel’s brother, Blake, and his fiancée, Erica, taking part in the ceremonial puck drop in Mitchel`s honor 💙

Together, we continue to turn remembrance into action.

In honor of Mitchel, we remind you… put your phone down, buckle up, stay focused, and just drive.
