This year marks a powerful milestone for The Kiefer Foundation: 10 years of turning heartbreak into purpose. What began as a family’s response to unimaginable loss has grown into a national movement advancing awareness, policy, and technology to end distracted driving.

Over the past decade, we have partnered with communities, schools, companies, and policy leaders across the country to make our roads safer. We have championed hands-free laws, brought life-saving technologies into classrooms and workplaces, expanded our Just Drive Simulator program, and supported thousands of families in honoring loved ones lost to preventable crashes.

But our work is far from finished.

Ten years in, our mission is stronger than ever. We are looking forward with bold ambition, to scale our technology, deepen our education efforts, expand research partnerships, and continue educating on the importance of driving policies that protect every family on the road.

Following the devastating 2022 fire, Oakland Hills will proudly reopen its new clubhouse in 2026. The result is a striking, state-of-the-art home for its members that honors the original architecture while introducing elevated, modern amenities. The Kiefer Foundation is honored to be one of the first organizations welcomed into the new clubhouse, adding a special distinction to this year’s event.
