Program Start-up & Vision
The Just Drive Simulator, implemented on the Meta Quest 3 Virtual Reality headset, provides an immersive, hands-on experience that educates drivers of all ages about the dangers of distracted driving in a safe and controlled environment with the mission to change behaviors, make roads safer and save lives. Deploying the simulators in four pilot schools with young drivers testing and experiencing the technology enabled our team to gather valuable feedback that will further enhance the software and overall engagement.
The highly engaging program simulates different levels of distraction that impact a driverβs awareness and performance behind the wheel in a safe, virtual environment.
Distracted driving is a growing epidemic, and as technology advances, the risk behind the wheel continues to grow. Getting the Just Drive Simulator into organizations and schools and reaching both experienced and young drivers is a major step towards making the roads a safer place for us all. We appreciate the leadership position taken by our Just Drive Founding Sponsors and the four pilot schools. With their support and participation, weβre going to create an even more engaging and realistic simulation experience with the goal of deploying nationwide.
